Nancy Curtin was raised in a musical family and has been singing all her life. Her interest in jazz began in college, where she studied music and wrote and performed original and jazz compositions.

Gail received a degree in Graphic Design and Secondary Education from Portland State University. He has been a studio potter since the late 1970’s.

Shabava Ensemble

SHABAVA is a trio with member's trained in Iran, Morocco and the USA. They combine their backgrounds in classical Persian, Arabic and flamenco music to deliver fresh presentations of traditional pieces and create original compositions with a unique voice. Shabava features Bobak Salehi on Persian kamancheh and sehtar, Nat Hulskamp on Arabic, and Martin Zarzar on percussion.

Saxon

Saxon is a Portland resident . His guitar is the love of his life, but so are his family and friends. He finished his first demo some time back with the help of Todd Roper and his friend Patrick Finn. He is unsure of a lot of things in life, but that doesn’t bother him.

A Portland native, Bronnie (Brongaene) Griffin placed first in nearly every Old-Time fiddle contest she entered, winning the NW Regional Championship twice and placing thi rd in the nation at the American Nat ional Old-Time Fiddle Contest in Weiser. She generates energy and excitement in her per formances and enthusiasm in her teaching style.

Jessie Marquez

Marquez has sung in clubs, cabarets, theaters, street parties, and on television and radio throughout Cuba. Her soothing vocals are a mix of North American harmony and Latin emotion that embody the Cuban genre called filin (a play on the word “feeling”).
